       It is no longer the pleasant kind of Fall where you admire the change in the foliage, but rather the bone cold Fall that no one looks forward to. It is this unpleasant stretch we must push through until Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The Christmas music has begun playing in my J.Crew, but the warm part of the holiday spirit is yet to appear.

I cannot rave more about the Barbour I purchased in England two months ago - that thing really keeps you warm and can survive a downpour. It was certainly a costly thing to acquire - but the amount of lifetime care provided by the company ensures that you get use out of it for decades.
