Mira is an app developed by my friend Evan Katz and his partner Morgan
Steffy, two fellow college students. The pair essentially encountered the
question of what do you do in the fitting room if your friends are not
responding to your texts. Do you do with your gut? Hope to wave down a sales
associate?
Enter Mira. The concept is that you can take that mirror pic of you in your
potential purchase and send it to fifteen people at once. Everyone will then
vote on the outfit. You get chance to say what occasion you are dressing for, so the voters can keep your interest in mind.
In
Katz’s own words:
Mira
is a new app that gives everyday people access to a personal stylist.
We're
also helping fashion bloggers make money from their followings,
and are looking
to partner with fashion bloggers interested in getting paid to give fashion
advice.
If
interested, bloggers can email team@mira-app.com
There is a lot of room for
blogger involvement!
In terms of a personal stylist. The
price is $1. That’s right, you can have an expert send you their opinion and
advice on the fly for a buck. You can also choose your stylist based on their
profiles. For example, if you are looking for a wedding outfit, you might be
interested in someone with experience in bridal.
The application debuts in early
July, but you can sign up to be one of the first to join on their webpage http://mira-app.com/expert.php.
If you are interested in getting
involved because you have some particular expertise in the fashion world, go
ahead and send Morgan and Evan an email. You could be rewarded ($)!
